How bout that b-roll? 👏 👏 👏 Tussey is always ahead of the game with their b-roll. Don't ever lose that or let it slack. 👍👌
Thanks Eric! Glad you liked it.
The most in-depth edging video on RUclips. Well done.
Impressed with the quality and workmanship by Tussey. Great video!
Thank you teacher! That was all very helpful! Well done Ben and DJ!
Glad it was helpful!💪👍
Wow! Thank you! I hope you realize how much you know compared to others who look a whole lot older than you. This was super helpful and much appreciated! I🎉
Absolutely Amazing work. You have a real gift! I wish I could see some of your work with my own eye's. Thanks for sharing
You guys are so talented. I wish I could get my falls to looks this good.
Just starting my 12x10' pond with a couple of waterfalls so this has been really informative and inspiring. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck!
With my planting skills, your water features would be even better!
Our guys do a great job with plantings! :)
I’m digging this waterfall.
Great stuff. Thanks for the detailed explanation of why and how you do some of what you do. I’m building a pretty decent size waterfall feature and this has really helped .
Ben is the man
Excellent job from one pond guy to another! 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
you guys are awesome waterfall builders, and squared away fellas. well done!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really appreciate the “how to” videos!! Thanks
Awesome video, thank you for making this!👊
Thanks for watching! :)
I've been playing guessing games before, and thanks to you guys i don't have to reinvent the wheel ❤❤
Our pleasure!
I rarely comment on videos.. but this video was spot on amazeballs. Gonna go tear up my yard now and make a water feature 🙌🏼🤘🏼🌊🪨
haha! Thanks!
Welp. I did indeed tear up my yard and attempted to create a beautiful waterfall, after watching this insanely inspiring video.. I now have waterfall foam, not only on my clothes, but in my boots and somehow my husband has waterfall foamed his underwear to his shorts😂 My God you guys make it look so easy! 😅
Awesome job Ben!!!
Thanks Jay!
That's some expert advice there. Love it!
Well done. thnx for the tutorial.
Very nice water feature. I have a much smaller waterfall. I have had problems losing water. I see some mistakes I made watching your video. Good work on this explaining where I went wrong. Thanks.
Very impressive piece you guys built!
Thanks so much for the compliment!
Great details shared. Picked up a lot of ideas
Great video Ben and EPIC looking waterfall !
Thanks a ton!
Thx for this. I'm edging my 4500gal pond this week and there were a lot of helpful reminders in here.
Glad it was helpful! Good luck with your project!
Beautiful, maybe someday I'll have one!!!
I think everyone should! Thanks for watching!
Awesome project! Well done 👍
Great video! Thank you!
Beautiful work.
Great video. Another great video would be when you over excavate for waterfalls any tips for backfilling. This was a great video.
Thanks for the idea. 💪👍 I'll do that this summer.
😊 now, that was helpful, thanks
awesome Information !
Glad it was helpful!
Very good 💐💐❣🎉🎉
Awesome work !..
Amazing!
Ben and DJ, this was extremely helpful. Thank you. In previous videos, I noticed you put underlayment not only between the ground and the pond liner, but also between the pond liner and the boulders. Question: how do you foam around the bottom of the boulders, with the underlayment there. Do you trim the underlayment to a minimum, so you can then foam the boulder to the liner? I'm at that point in my (first) waterfall and I'm not sure how to handle it. Thank you!
Yep trim the fabric under the boulder and foam around!
Looking good 👍 👌
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful. Would you teach us how to stabilize the reservoir basin. Surround with sand or gravel?
Thanks for watching! I can let the guys know your suggestion!
I built a stream in my front yard with small falls. Your videos helped. Thank you!!! If you DM me I’ll send you a video!
So just to make sure I understand the video correctly: the goal is to foam the interior side of the rocks that surround the waterfall and pooling area but not the exterior side of those rocks, instead you leave a pathway of small river rocks to let any water seeping thru foam can flow back in the reservoir?
👍you got it!
Ben, just curious what size pump would be required to run this feature? Thx for your great videos!
One AQUASCAPE 5-9 SLD
How do you cover up a sheer drop or steep slope of you don't have enough or big enough rocks. If you cover in pebbles they slide off same with other ways of covering up.
That can be tough. You're right pouring gravel or mulch over it won't work. Big boulders are just so important. Even with small boulders you often can build a bunch of terrace style walls.
Instead of using all rocks/boulders, do you recommend using some large heavy tree stumps in between the rocks to break up the monotony? If so, should they be just outside of the pond or ok to use both inside and outside of the pond?
I do prefer using stumps and driftwood cause it helps soften up the look most of our s are actually out of the water but I'm not scared to put them in the water if it's a hard wood like locust.
My problem using pond foam is winters of minus 30c . How good is this pond foam????
We don't temps that low here, so maybe check with your local hardscaping company.
what kind of waterfall foam is that???
I"m curious as to how much of the moss actually survives the wet foam chemicals against it's root base.
It all just depends on each type of moss and the location of the feature itself. I have some beautiful moss on boulders that were in full shade and when moved to full sun, it died within 2-3 weeks. Moss likes shady moist areas!
What size pump would you use for a feature of that size?
hey there! We would have used an Aquascape SLD pump!
Does tussey landscaping have a garden center?
Do you sell driftwood and boulders ?
Yes, it's called Tussey mountain mulch.
Can you tell us what size pump you are using for this project?
Aquascape SLD 5 to 9000 gallons per hour
There are two (2) letters missing in today's instructive video episode: The letters "D" & "J"!
(No disrespect to the appropriate Ben casting as host/narrator, we just miss the Barb & Foil between the two)
Though, there was a "DJ" mention @ 9:10 in this offering. (& @ the11th minute, 3 "DJ" mentions..)
----
I am calling a technical foul on the mentions. "DJ" brought the moss". " DJ did this & that."
Yet, no sight of DJ, at all. I am skeptical that DJ was even there ha.......
Nevertheless, the "B-roll" here is incredible. I am always stunned at just how thoroughly exceptional the work is with Tussey Landscaping.
Thanks for another informative, quality "how-it's-done" video....... (Even sans DJ & Westin)
🤣 sorry to let you down. Be patient we'll see more of him.
Quick question, Are all expanding spray foams safe for ponds, like from the hardware store, or do you have to get pond specific, thank you.
We do sometimes use another kind of black foam called pro black that doesn't say it's for fish ponds and that stuff is fine. So I would guess you'd probably be alright but can't say for sure as I've never tried it.
Looks like fire season lighting.
What equipment did you use to place those boulders? Thank you for the work that went into this masterclass. If you were close to me, I would hire you to redo my feature.
If the machine used to move the boulders here is the same as in ruclips.net/video/U4U4Rf6sVDM/видео.html, it is a Bobcat 430, or an E42 was used here: ruclips.net/video/Sm-YwpqtI7U/видео.html The 430 is 8,000 lbs and the E42 is 10,000. My local rental place has Hitachi 7,000 lbs units. I'll have to use smaller boulders.
How to set boulders. ruclips.net/video/Sm-YwpqtI7U/видео.html
Yup we used a bobcat T 595 skid loader and an E 42 bobcat excavator.
Lads, if God our father ever wanted to create the garden of Eden again….he would pick you guys ❤️
😉
nice boys!
Thank you!
